What is the consequence for a military spouse lying on a military sworn statement?

If a female spouse lies on a military sworn statement about her husband assaulting her, what are the consequences? Can the military punish her? what happens?What is the consequence for a military spouse lying on a military sworn statement?
The military can't legally punish her because she is a civilian and a civilian is not subject to UCMJ. They can kick her off post and bar her from returning, though.





However, it is still a crime to lie on an official statement, especially in order to get someone in trouble. If she is caught she could possibly face criminal charges in a civilian court.What is the consequence for a military spouse lying on a military sworn statement?
All sworn statements have the death sentence ';false statements will be prosecuted'; in some form on them. The spouse can't be tried by the military, but lying to ';federal'; investigators (MPs are essentially a federal police) can have the case tried in a Federal court for perjury.





The commander has options.





The commander can ban the spouse from coming onto the base for base PX priviledges, hospital and clinics on base, kicked out of base housing. All of which are priviledges.





While in Europe in the 80s, I seen many wives put on planes home after finding out they stay with their husbands were for the convenience of the military - and their actions, whether adultery, DWI, or others, if it embarrassed the command, she could be sent back to the states.





Access to military bases is not guaranteed for spouses or children of servicemen. I have ten years on Active Duty, and was raised for 18 years as the son of a US Marine.
