What will happen to your spouse if your married and file for welfare?

I'll be filing for me and my children. Will they make my spouse pay the money back? Will I have to file child support? What will happen to your spouse if your married and file for welfare?
Yes and yes! The father/mother the noncustodial parent will be expected to pay support and any monies received for the children.

In tact families often qualify for some type of assistance.

If married and living/co-habituating together. All earned income is taken into consideration. It is a needs based entitlement program. If you fall within the guidelines of poverty. You would receive for all within the household. Medical coverage, food stamps, and monies.

However, if you do not qualify for all of the above, you may qualify for medical coverage, and food stamps, due to our difficult economic times more families are now entitlement and eligible for the food stamp/medical care coverage. What will happen to your spouse if your married and file for welfare?
if he is still in the home i would think that u couldn't get it. if he abandoned u i think they would help u but u would have to file for child support on them.u would have to show proof of income.
They will look at the total income once married

If you make over a certain dollar amount they will reduce or eliminate your benefits all together

I know I know it's so scary when the government doesn't do everything for you... sheesh
Yes they take it into consideration.
